Glocester Libraries Walking Club 2025 Walk #10 In-Person

Location: George Washington Campground

In 1965, Australian sailors stationed in Newport provided the manpower that created the Walkabout Trails. We will hike the scenic blue trail.

We will meet on Rt 44 outside the campground entrance. Park on the dirt and grass off the shoulder of the road.

Don’t forget water and insect repellent. Trails of this type typically feature sections with rocks, stumps, and tree roots to maneuver.

Advance registration is not required for this ‘Show & Go’ hike – just be ready to hit the trail at 8:00 a.m.
